This report was spot on and has not only made me feel proud of myself for who I am but also made me understand exactly why the last 3 jobs I had went so wrong and caused me so much stress.
I am very impressed and glad that I took this free test and paid for the report. It couldn’t have been more useful.
It’s me to a tee!
Thank you.

Hi,
I found the anaysis very interesting. However, I didn’t much like the list of jobs for which I would be suitable.
I found them to need specialised long term training. Or particular education i.e. Bailiff, Barister, Chemical Engineer, Goldsmith, Helicopter Pilot, Higher Education Lecturer, Local Government Environmental Health Officer.

I am 54 and unable to embark on the typical education that would be needed, as it would need time & money to aquire. Do you have any less ‘long term education’ suggestions that may help me to understand what roles I might fit into well.

Its really an interesting and accurate assessment report given to me. I feel happy to see my own self to reflect so well on report. “I see the report fairly covers few competencies which requires to know employee dependability on work”

The test process must have the option to go back. Twice I clicked on the wrong suggestion. Otherwise its quite interesting. Arindam

Reply

Julie Gibbons June 1, 2010 at 1:56 pm

Hi Arindam – Thanks for your suggestion and delighted you found it to be interesting! The test’s design means it isn’t possible for a ‘go back’ option – but there are only 5 questions, so we would suggest that if you make a mistake, just hit refresh and restart – it takes less than 5 minutes to complete. Remember, don’t deliberate on the questions for too long – there’s a video guide on how to answer the questionnaire at http://www.careerpsychometrics.com/faqs/

Having recently failed an interview because my answers were specific enough I now have a better insite into where I went wrong. Although a team player I believe they saw me more as a friendly team player with no oomph! It’s good to know so that I can prepare for the next more in depth answers and examples and to prepare my thought processes before entering the interview.
Thanks

I have taken personality tests before, and they never seemed to describe me accurately. but after trying the free personality test I found it quite accurate,
and even somewhat insightful, given the few questions it asks, perhaps an even
more in-depth personality test might reveal even more. Certainly would be
interested in trying after doing this test.

John, not sure I understand your point. Personality doesn’t change. We certainly adapt to various situations but that’s not a change in personality. The more one works in harmony with who they are and therefore has to do less adapting, the better.

Personality profiling does not deal with work experience or qualifications but instead looks at preferred behaviour.

Reply

John May 4, 2010 at 2:06 pm

The process is too simplistic in that the personality changes, or adapts, in relationship to circumstance.

The CV is said to cover work experience and qualifications, but at a senior level appointment, both are of prime importance. Also there is a tendency to imaginethat the “right fit ” is all important, with less emphasis placed subsequently on other biographical information. (There are many examples of government ministers lacking qualifications and experience).

Hi, Most unusual. A couple of things to check. Did you follow the instructions on how to complete the questionnaire? Did you take too long thinking about your answers? If you are happy that you answered properly then please show your report to someone that knows you and get their feedback. Sometimes we have a blind spot and there are aspects of our personality that we do not see, yet everyone else has it in their perspective. If you show it to a colleague or friend and they laugh, then it’s usually a sign of accuracy. Please try it again or try a different report. Thanks, Martin

Thank you for the personality tests.

The characteristics that you identified are certainly some that I recognise, and the advice about these attributes can be perceived and managed in an interview situation will be really valuable.

You did ask for feedback too, so here it is: I felt that the mediocre quality of the English (word usage and grammar) has the effect of distracting the recipient and potentially detracting from the perceived quality of the report.

Reply

Julie Gibbons March 12, 2010 at 12:20 pm

Thanks for your feedback Helen. Our policy has always been to write in plain English so that everyone – from a school child upwards can understand the reports. In this way we set ourselves apart from all the other professional profiling systems. We make profiling available to everyone in a meaningful way. This service is for individuals at all levels – not just professionals – and we enjoy visitors from all over the globe, so the content of our reports reflect that. In this period i worked in Switzerland, Austria, Belgium(i can show my references).
But when i search a job in UK i found a wall done of racial prejuices.
I dont believe that my experiences outside of UK have a lower worth then an experience in UK.
I am sure that when the british employer read “natianality: italian” think only “mafia”.
And this is a shame!!!!!!!
So i decided to write to the Emplyment Tribunal of UK to send a claim against many british agencies for race discrimination!!!

However, some type errors in the output caused my attention.

But because i appreciated this effort, i tried to send you the money via paypal, but was required to enter a credit card, because of your immidiate payment setting. Hence, there was no transaction being made.

So here is my advice to you …

Since you got a good thing going, don’t ruin it by getting to greedy. :)

I had fun doing the tests, as always I try to have fun in everything I do. They are a great tool to measure yourself against expected behavor of those who have power to hire and fire.

Great.

Wow! My report was so accurate. It was better than any of the feedback you get from an old friend or family member who you might ask for advice. People who you know often ‘water things down’ and so the ‘real’ details about you are lost in a fog of ‘nice sounding words’. Instead, the People Maps report focusses in on you like a laser. It was absolutely amazing. Lastly, may I send a big Thank You to the Team at People Maps.

Goodness me – I’ve done personality tests in the past, but none have achieved this level of accuracy. Truly incredible! The entrepreneur report described me to an absolute tee.

I am very convinced by the results of this report, although I wasn’t quite ready to answer the questions as provided in the questioneer! It reflected almost 90% of me!
